Congressman Todd Akin does not believe in the Separation of Church and State.Congressman Akin is one of a select group of Congressmen who puts the Fundamentalist Religious point of view of Evangelicals and Neo Cons above the Constitution. Todd is a card-carrying member of the American Taliban. He wants to impose a Biblical World View on America.
Just for Fun are u Bitter? w/poll
Thu Apr 17, 2008 at 06:37:32 PM PDT
I admit it, he just capped it for me. Even though I do not live in PA, I do feel bitter. Maybe it's a West Coast thingy after all he was talking to a left coast crowd. Yes. the Bush Years have left me bitter and with an awful taste in my mouth. I grew up in the 50 and 60 and I do not recognize my country. I do not believe the John Wayne, I watched in all those Movies would either.
Why exactly might I be bitter? Where do I start? How about $3 Trillion wasted, a 100,000 to millions of deaths inflicted needlessly, I may never have enough $ to retire, If I loose my job and can't find a job, it's BK and foreclosure, 8 years of BushCo pumping up our Carbon emissions - Global Warming is the real threat!, what of our manufacturing jobs, the debt crisis, the tent cities emerging on the out skirts of our Cities, food riots because food is being diverted to fuel, the Arctic is melting, Antarctica too, the war on our own people - opps I mean the drug war, the prison/industrial complex, the true media elites, Hill's plundering of Obama, the military/industrial complex, the dumbing down of our schools China's and India's Industrialization and millions of cars and their emissions, Vietnam, Darfur the Holocaust, the transfer of our Industries overseas and the hollowing out of the Middle Class
DC Sex Scandal w/poll & spanking
Tue May 01, 2007 at 07:15:15 PM PDT
This little tidbit from Wayne Madsen: Wayne's site is here
"May 1, 2007 -- The DC Madam's client list has official Washington on pins and needles. There is much speculation about the identities of the clients of Deborah Palfrey's Pamela Martin & Associates escort service now said to include a White House economist, the head of a neo-con think tank, Pentagon officials, a corporate CEO, and at least one member of the House of Representatives. Reports that some clients enjoyed "spanking" from the house calling masseuses will certainly increase the scandal factor ten-fold."
Now don't forget ABC has Palfrey's client list. http://rawstory.com/...
more dirt below fold...
MULTIPLE SEX SCANDALS
Mon Apr 30, 2007 at 06:20:27 PM PDT
Wayne Madsen's Reports:
From Baghdad’s Camp Cropper, where a major US military detention center is located, to the White House, Pentagon, and offices along Washington DC’s "Gucci Gulf" K Street corridor, a series of major sex scandals threaten to bring yet another body blow on the Bush administration and the Republican Party.
Seems like Natural Male Enhancement was not working at the White House and their pornography need a new cutting edge?
"There is good reason for the embarrassment of the Pentagon in the [Abu Ghraib] affair. The orders to take the sexually-oriented photos and videos, some of which involve teenage Iraqi boys and girls and sodomization by their guards, came directly from a pedophile and closeted male homosexual ring operating in the White House, according to the intelligence sources. Copies of the tapes and photos were sent directly to the White House for the entertainment of senior members of the Bush White House, including officials in the Vice President's office and the Executive Office of the President.
It's a Religous Experience Living in VA

Recently I said half in jest "that it was easier to get a gun in Old
Virginny than it was a bottle of whiskey." Unfortunately I was right. Today in the Great State of Virginia a 12 year old can buy a GUN without his parents premission. Let me repeat that.
In Virginia, the state where the shooting took place, it is possible to buy a gun from age 12, and that without parental consent.
According to: Benoit Muraciolle who is a researcher for Amnesty International responsible for the "arms control" campaign. (read full interview here)
Let me ask you a question? If you had a really pissed off 12 year old kid, in the house and you decided to punish them by taking away their lines of communication how could you sleep at night? I would be wondering if they were going to march down to the Gun Shop and get a Glock in the morning. Its no wonder VA is part of the bible belt.
Now maybe while I have kind attention for a moment here are more shocking GUN facts to ponder:
V Tech impolite thoughts

Bloody Murder that what this was.
I am very disturbed about it. I have 2 daughters away at College.
No matter who you are, where you are, you can always be whacked.
Nobody will TALK about GUN CONTROL. The NRA is already out in force talking about the right to bear arms, but against one another?
These Students and Teachers they are the best and brightest (no disrespect to the troops, but the quality of the recruits we all know has dropped).
I hope these families and students from Virginia Tech become like the 911 Widows and try to get answers and change our culture.
Our culture worships death, values $$$$ over life. (So please buy a GUN and SUV today and leave your worries behind.)

March 27, 2007 -- BREAKING STORY. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales' "loyal Bushie" U.S. Attorney for Western Texas covered up a major pedophile scandal with the connivance of the Justice Department's Criminal Section of the Civil Rights Division.

41 Votes to end the WAR! w/poll
Tue Feb 13, 2007 at 07:39:59 PM PDT
What, I have not seen here at Kos is an effective parliamentary strategy for ending the war. Here is a simple strategy where a minority of Senators could enforce the will of the majority. I will try to explain. If you like this idea, please invite, Senators Reid, Kennedy, Feingold, Levin, Obama or Hagel to adopt it. Over on Counter Punch (link), John V. Walsh penned a "story" entitled:
It Only Takes 41 Senate Votes to End the War. Republicans Show the Way.
Only One Way (w/poll)

In the movie the Terminator, Reese explains to skeptical Sara: "Listen! And understand! That terminator is out there. It can't be bargained with! It can't be reasoned with! It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead!"
Does this remind you of anyone?
Listen! And understand! These Neo-Cons won’t stop, till they are out of office. They are on a mission from God. 2008 is maybe good enough for Congress, but it is not good enough for me. This "man" must be stopped, now. The only way to stop them is to impeach them now. Bu$hCo. will only apply the pedal to the metal faster, in order to get the agenda done, with a hostile Congress voting and investigating. Impeachment immediately is the only answer.
Forecast: Constitutional Crisis by April and more outrages, wicked, evil, heinous, act by the administration.
Howie Berman CA-28 How Many Votes for the War? w/pol
Sun Nov 05, 2006 at 01:32:20 PM PDT
All The pundits say the War in Iraq is the most important issue as we go to the polls. Do we have 4 more years of incompetence, bogged down further in a quagmire? Do we make important changes and make sure there is opposition in Congress so we don't stay the course for 4 more years.
We have a chance in the 28th District to send a message to President Bush the Democratic and Republican Party that business as usual is no more. We don't and won't support a Congressman for the Joe Lieberman wing of the Democratic Party. We can make an important change by sending Byron DeLear to Washington the real candidate with Democratic Values who will oppose the War. Once elected Byron has pledged to caucus with the DEMS to turn the HOUSE BLUE just as Senator Jim Jeffords did when elected as an Independent in 2000.
Below the fold is Howard Berman's voting record. If you vote for Berman you're casting your vote for the failed policies of President Bush.
Dear Neighbor, Don't Vote for Howie CA 28 District - an Appeal w/poll
Sat Nov 04, 2006 at 03:49:12 PM PDT
Dear Neighbor,
The election is finally here. I know we are bombarded with election messages. Please allow me to share my opinion about an important local race here in our district.
Do you know the name of our Congressman here in the 28th District? No? Allow me to introduce you, to Howard Berman. Howard voted for the War in Iraq. Howard Berman is a 12-term incumbent who hasn't had a town hall meeting in his district for 6 years. His views about the War do not reflect our district. Howard pretends he is a Democrat but on the most important issue in the beginning our new century he has been wrong. Howard Berman is a Pro War Democrat like Joe Lieberman in Connecticut.
Piling on Senator George Allen w/poll
Thu Nov 02, 2006 at 06:20:48 PM PDT
I know Wayne Madsen is not the most beloved Journalist here. However he is a good read and I
imagine this article is pretty close to the truth. Given how many Gay Republicans are in the closet. I imagine these bottled up tendency make them real mean just like Senator Allen.
From Wayne Madsen:
Maryscott Don't vote for Howard Berman (CA 28th) w/poll
Sun Oct 29, 2006 at 09:19:15 AM PDT
Much to my surprise I find myself in the same Congressional District (CA 28th) as the highly read and regarded diarist Maryscott OConnor. Like Maryscott, I have also met Byron DeLear and believe like Ms. OConnor he makes a fine candidate (
CA-28: Green versus Democrat). Like her I wish Byron was running against a Repug as a Democrat candidate.
Howard Berman's support of the War is wrong on Humanitarian Grounds, on Environmental Grounds, on Moral Grounds and on National Security Grounds.

Top scientist's fears for climate
How much news in the US is being censorded? We will obviously never know and people here at Koss monitor diverse news sources a lot more than most. Here is a perfect example why most Americans are dumb as bricks.
One of America's top scientists has said that the world has already entered a state of dangerous climate change.
In his first broadcast interview as president of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, John Holdren told the BBC that the climate was changing much faster than predicted. Link to exotic media source @ the BBC here
Delusional Kossacks Fair Election Farce w/poll
Sun Jul 23, 2006 at 03:15:46 PM PDT
I am impressed with the energy and hope represented in the recent stories and diaries here at DailyKos. (If this has been blog before my apologies.) Till we find a way to have fair elections we are screwed.
To think that we "progressives" let alone democrats are going to take back congress and give Bu$hCo holy-hell is beyond laughable, it is delusional. BradBlog.com has posted an exclusive interview with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., which I found at http://www.truthout.org/.... "The Republican Party, the Republican National Committee, has been using old-fashioned, Jim Crow, apartheid-type maneuvers to steal the last two national elections."
- Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

Torture, Writ of Habeas Corpus Suspended, No Right to Attorney, Wars declared with out the support of Congress, A rubber stamp Politburo err, I mean Congress acquiesces to every wish of the Premier, err I mean President. Congress staffed by a bunch of Apparatchiks (yes men). A leader who most Europeans think is the biggest threat to world peace.
Soliders Dying in Humvees So Americans can Drive SUVs w/poll
Fri Jun 02, 2006 at 06:28:41 AM PDT
This article, which appeared on Memorial Day, struck me as sad
and ironic beyond belief. We fight War just as we fight each other on the freeway in cars and trucks. Our finest are dying and being maimed just as surely as a drunk driver is speeding towards them at 100 mph in a giant SUV. Except our Humvees inadequately armored are being destroyed by IED, Rocket Propelled Grenades and AK47s doing the damage.
Jim Knustler blog (Clusterfuck Nation) on the 29th was apparently inspired by the N.Y. Times magazine article about soldiers returning from Iraq.
http://jameshowardkunstler.typepad.com/...
Jim points out this fact" our method for prosecuting this war is almost entirely based on driving around in cars, and that consequently most of the deaths and injuries have occurred in connection with roadside bombs or attacks on vehicles". Just like most Americans die on Highways.
Jack Bauer Model Dad
Sun Mar 26, 2006 at 02:17:47 PM PDT
Did you catch Bill Maher Friday night? Jason Alexander, Reza Aslan and some Congressman ® were on the panel. The topic comes around to torture and Jason Alexander's opinion and Jack Bauer's are identical. "I can do, and will do anything to protect My Country and My Family". Let me add that Reza was happily coming along torture is fine and justifiable under extraordinary circumstance.
So what I don't get IS:
If this is OK:
1 If, I have the right to torture to protect my family (my country) and I will if anybody threatens my family. Bush, First Strike Policy.
2 The security of my family is most important to me.
